TUT 30 Day Challenge and Water Challenge - Day 24

Today I'm supposed to write a letter to future self from a fan or someone else. In the letter I'm to explain why they admire me or admire the things I've done. Of course that means having to talk about why I think I'm awesome and just the thought of writing a public letter like this makes me cringe.

But rest assured, I did write that letter and I emailed it to myself so it will be easy for me to search in the future when any of those things happen. However, writing this letter was probably the hardest Love Your Life 30 Days challenge so far. Seeing how much I struggle to write good things about myself to myself without anyone seeing made me realize I have a lot of growing to do. Well, that's life.



Water Challenge

I started early. I drank too many cups of coffee in the meanwhile. Still haven't finished the 2 liters of water. Why is it getting harder, I wish I knew. This is also becoming a real challenge, I guess.

Tonight I removed all of my followers on Instagram. It was a private account with some 200+ followers, but I admit, removing most of them actually hurt. I did it, because Instagram was no longer the social media I began using in July 2012. In the beginning I would only post pictures of our every day life. Whenever my children were in the photos, I would photograph them so that you couldn't see their faces. I heart enough

About a month ago I woke up to my snooze alarm clock. Usually I stay in bed for five minutes with my eyes closed after waking up, thinking about all the good things I expect from the day. That morning though I realized I had been snoozing too much and we were running late, so I jumped out of bed and started dressing up. Suddenly I felt my pulse rising. My heart seemed to be beating out of my chest. As usual, I was wearing my Fitbit, so it was easy to see what the current heart rate was. It was over 170 and I had just woken up. I called my husband, who was on his way to work. I told him something was up with my heart. He said he was coming back home. I asked my 10-year-old daughter to come to talk to me and I had to do something I wish I did not need to impose on her. I told her if I pass out, she should call an ambulance, because my heart was beating way too fast at that moment and I was feeling very vulnerable. Day 8, 9 & 10: Clothes

I'm finally getting the hang of decluttering. I'm slowly starting to understand when I lie to myself with the thought "Oh, I'll possibly use this later", which I'm learning to respond with an honest thought "Are you SERIOUSLY going to use this later?" More often than not, the answer is no and off it goes. Because day 8, 9 and 10 of the decluttering challenge were all related to clothes, I decided to divide my task by doing only a fraction of it on the weekend. I have always loved my kids' clothes. They are a collection of new, hand-me-downs from friends, presents from relatives and there are even some of my old ones in there. Often their outfits remind me of our friends and family and it's such a nice addition to the function of clothing.
